Connemara on the West Coast of Ireland has some of the most beautiful scenery and dive sites on the Bitish Isles. The scene of Monty Halls' Great Irish Escape series, we re-visit this remote and wild coastline to explore the area further. The European Conger Eel (Conger conger) reaches a maximum length of 3m making it the largest eel species in the world. With a sometimes unfavourable reputation, they show their true colours when underwater. The become inquisitively 'friendly' when face with a diver, making it an experience you'll never forget. The whole Connemara coastline has many lochs, fjords, reefs and wrecks to explore along the way. Also a hot spot for Basking Sharks during August/September, there will be chances to dive with a nd snorkel with these giants. With a base camp located on the remote and beautiful coast near Killary Fjord, and the use of a 10m RIB, this is a perfect dive trip to end the summer.
