The second largest fish in the world, reaching up to 12m in length, Basking Sharks (Cetorhinus maximus) congregate around the most Northerly tip of Ireland in late summer. This leviathan feeds on the snallest planktonic organisms while trawling through our cold, nutrient rich waters. Witness the mysterious behaviour of these majestic animals while exploring the surrounding sites such as Rathlin Island which has breathtaking underwater cliffs and caves. This whole area of coastline has plenty of unexplored sites to conquer. Base camp wll be on the mainland or one one of the islands (weather dependant), and a RIB will be perfect for accessing remote locations for diving.
